One of the great things about life in Asheville is that although it is a small town, there is a wide variety of excellent restaurants here. Last weekend, my friend and I were interested in trying Asheville's take on Indian food and had to consider a number of different restaurants before settling on our final destination. Among the places we considered were the following:
Although each of these restaurants has gotten excellent reviews, in the end my roommate and I decided to try Mela since it was cold outside and Mela is located the closest to campus. Because it was a Friday night and we did not have reservations, we had to put our names on a list get a table here, but it was definitely worth the wait. I took some pictures at various points throughout the meal to give you an idea what our experience was like here. The food was very tasty and the atmosphere warm and relaxed. Based on our meal at Mela, I am eager to explore the other Indian restraunts. Please leave a comment below if you've been to any of them (or if there is one that I missed!) and share your experience!
