411: Governor's Village

Governor's Village is traditionally one of the most popular residence halls on campus because it offers students single rooms.  At the end of last semester (fall 2010) these residence halls were de-commissioned for a while so that they could be renovated.  Because my residence hall is located closest to Governor's Village, I see the construction crews hard at work every day.  I thought that today I would give a photo "update" for anyone interested in seeing the great transformation that has taken place here over the past few months (and to anyone interested in living here once the newly renovated residence halls are complete).  Enjoy!

(This is how close Governor's Village is to the track!)

Will this Residence Hall be open by 2012?

Also if you could find a floor plan for this building's rooms I would love that. I'm trying to scope out my options for when I go to UNC Asheville. That is if they accept me. This blog has really helped me out, it has calmed me down from the panic of not knowing what I'll be dealing with when I see this campus.

Since Governors Village is slated to open in the Fall 2011 semester, it should be completed by 2012. Check out the webpage for the residence hall
